Aila was doing a little bit of nest organisation when an owl attack catches her off guard. It was a scary few moments for viewers as she was knocked off the eggs and almost completely off the nest. We’re pleased to say Aila and the eggs are unharmed.
If you’ve been watching the osprey cam for a while, you’ll know the pair got into a turf war with tawny owls last year. Aila defended the eggs from almost nightly attacks.
