In this video I am going to take a look at how to connect your Canon EOS R to both a Mac and Windows computer for streaming video.

There are a number of different ways to do this including purchasing hardware such as the Elgato 4K camlink, which is the easiest way and will deliver great resolution and high frame rates. However there is quite a cost involved in purchasing such hardware.

So what if you want to do it without spending any extra money. Well thanks to some recent software you can now set up your Canon EOS R as a web cam using nothing more than the usb c type 3 cable that came with the camera.
In this video I explain in full detail how you can do it on both an Apple and windows computer.

Note canon just released Webcam Utility for Mac!
Tested today and it works with Skype only so far.
Does not work with Zoom or OBS as yet.
Will update you when I know it works on more platforms.
