Church Live Streaming 101 ► https://modernmediaministry.com

Live streaming is starting to become a standard in churches. It allows members on vacation, those who are sick and shut in or even potential visitors the ability to experience your church without physically being there.

Technology has made the entry into live streaming possible for anyone and I would like to give you some suggestions for the best budget-friendly cameras for those just starting with live streaming.

#1 Canon VIXIA HF R800 ► https://amzn.to/2AW2CZ3
(Affiliate Links)
The Canon R800 is one of the best entry-level cameras you can use for live streaming. It supports 1080p at 60 fps, has a 32X zoom, external mic input, and a fantastic autofocus feature.

One downside to the R800 is its performance in low light. This can be overcome with placing the camera closer to your speaker or add additional lighting. Price ranges from $210 – $300.

#2 GoPro Hero7 ► https://amzn.to/2DjRGG5
(Affiliate Links)
GoPros are known for action shots in incredible situations and locations. Don’t let that stop you from using them in your church. These little powerhouses pack a lot of power in a small package. 4K @ 60 fps with multiple other lower resolution options.

The downside to these cameras are the fixed lenses. There is no live adjustment. Either you have a wide shot or a tight shot. Price ranges from $350 – $450

#3 Panasonic HV-VX981K 4K ► https://amzn.to/2DlmfeM
(Affiliate Links)
This is the most expensive camera on the list but I think is your best bet in camcorder selection. The Panasonic will give you 4K resolution at up to 30 fps. You also get a 20X optical zoom, external mic input, and great low light performance.

This is a camera that will give you long term use for at least 4+ years. Price ranges from $650 – $700.

— Conclusion —
All cameras listed are good starting points for you and your church. There are other items needed to make live streaming possible but again these are great budget-friendly options to get you started.
