My “pro webcam” setup is as follows. (This isn’t a buying guide necessarily. Just what I am using)
Video Hardware:
-Panasonic Lumix GH5S Camera
-AC to DC Dummy Battery Adapter
-Olympus 25mm f/1.8mm Lens
-Manfrotto Camera (video-focused) Tripod
-Camlink 4K HDMI to USB 3.0 adapter /w HDMI cable (It’s not the best option, but it’s what I have and it works, as demoed in this video)
-55″ LCD TV to sit behind Camera for Lighting and Preview
-Ceiling spot lights; hair light and room lighting
-Display Color Calibrator to calibrate TV to 6500K~7000K color temp
-Remote controls to turn on lights
Audio Hardware:
-Shure SM7B dynamic Microphone
-M-Audio M-Track II USB Preamp (the Motu M2 is probably a good alternative these days?)
-Mogami Studio Gold XLR cable – 10-foot (or LynxPro, Monoprice 16awg, etc)
-Stereo RCA to 3.5mm 10-foot audio cable
-Weighted mic arm floor-stand
-Sound absorption panels on Ceiling, Sound panels/foam on some walls, and even padded furniture/carpets
-Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones (wired headphones; not Bluetooth!)
Lastly, I didn’t mention it, but make sure to use WIRED ETHERNET for your Internet connection. DO NOT USE WI-FI. Wi-Fi will often degrade the audio and video quality when live-streaming.
